This week we’ve been taking time to do a bit of self-directed learning and listening to fitness podcasts. Podcasts are a great way to be introduced to new industry developments and general health and wellbeing guidance in an easily digestible way. gym woman in pose

  1. First up is another woman in the fitness biz – Natasha Wakefield, creator of the ‘Girl Fit Method Podcast’. Her podcast brings you short, easy-to-listen podcast episodes. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have rarely if ever got time for a podcast or show that lasts over an hour! Between 10 minutes to 40 minutes, the bitesize podcast episodes are great for people that want to take a step toward wellness. The amount of information out there on fitness can be overwhelming. I listened to an episode that covered 7 things you need to do to reach your fitness goals! Some great things to think about and there was no confusing terminology or language, it made it an enjoyable listen.
  2. The Beyond Fitness podcast was a good listen for a few reasons; it’s a podcast by a couple that both work in the fitness industry. They share their thoughts on more than just the gym and you get a sense of who they are as well, kind of like getting a bit of gossip whilst catching up with a friend. It’s centred around what they think about different fitness trends like mindset and rapid weight loss programmes. So if you want to listen to something that you don’t have to commit to every week, but is entertaining as well, this might be for you. Check it out.
  3. Okay, so not technically a fitness podcast but definitely something that will be good for your wellbeing. Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast covers life, love, loss, addiction and everything in between with some amazing guests. I liked it because we can forget that even famous people have real stuff going on and we’re all the same under the surface.
